By default, the minimum length of a segment is as follows.
- For the section out of the
nozzle, it is the dimension of a flange and a long radius 90º elbow plus any
inline component.
- For any other segment, it is
twice the dimensions of a flange and a long radius 90º elbow size.
If you want a rule to be followed – even if the pipe would
run through an obstacle – they can preface the first segment of the rule with
ALWAYS. After routing the pipeline will be flagged with
an exception.
